This course is being held during the 2018 Annual Meeting of the United States and Canada Academy of Pathology

Description: Immunohistochemical stains and nucleic acid-based tests such as in situ hybridization and sequencing are becoming increasingly important in the practice of gynecological pathology. As well, next generation sequencing has allowed for the introduction of sequencing of gene panels into routine practice, and this will increasingly impact on our practices and the surgical pathology reports we issue in individual cases. These changes are happening rapidly, and the aim of this session is to equip practicing pathologists to use currently available biomarkers effectively, and be able to anticipate future developments in biomarker assessment, as it relates to gynecological pathology.
