DESCRIPTION:The International Society of Gynecological Pathologists is pleased to announce the 1st ISGyP Annual Conference\, a new virtual one-day conference on the theme “WHO 2020 and Beyond:  Refinements in Diagnosis of Selected Female Genital Tumors”\, highlighting topics from the recently published 5th edition of the World Health Organization classification system of female genital tract tumors.  Case-based presentations from an international faculty will be accompanied by several special sessions including a joint ISGyP-IGCS session by the society presidents Robert Coleman and Xavier Matias-Guiu and sessions on global pathology engagement and pathology education in the pandemic era.  All IGCS members are welcome to attend.  There is no fee.  Register at isgyp.ca

DESCRIPTION:2021 Virtual Advocacy Survivor-Caregiver Summit: Connected & Empowered\nPromoted and hosted by the IGCS \nSaturday\, October 23\, 2021 at 8:00 am-12:00 pm CST\n(with Optional After-Summit Chat) \nJoin survivors/patients\, caregivers\, friends\, and others in this information-packed annual Summit.  \n  \nRegister \n\nSummit Highlights  \nGynecologic Cancer Literacy (Parts 1 & 2)\nWe will cover all the basics of gynecologic cancers—including symptoms and risks\, early detection\, and treatment options—and increase gynecologic cancer literacy through expert presentations on genetic testing and molecular diagnostics\, the breast cancer link\, and patient rights. Additionally\, panelists will cover clinical trials\, promising studies\, and breaking news. \nSurvivorship Primer: Quality of Life Matters\nWe will talk about survivorship—quality of life—with a focus on palliative care (comfort care) as a part of the continuum of care; self-care\, nutrition\, meditation and other stress relievers; and the importance of documenting one’s health history and journey. \nEmpowered through Patient Advocacy\nThrough advocacy\, survivors/patients\, caregivers\, families\, and communities worldwide are empowered.
