Travel Funding for Young Doctors Practicing in Low-Resource Settings

The Shingo Fujii Young Doctors Summit (YDS) is a session held during the IGCS Annual Global Meeting with the goal of bringing together early-career doctors from all over the world for a day of education and networking.

The Summit was first offered in 2012 with a very generous donation from IGCS Past President, Prof. Shingo Fujii (Japan). IGCS is committed to continue Prof. Fujii's vision to provide early career doctors with this unique opportunity to  build relationships with peers from around the globe.

Doctors practicing in low-income economies (as classified by World Bank data) who are currently in training or who have completed sub-specialty training less than five years ago may apply for a YDS travel grant to offset travel expenses to attend the IGCS Annual Global Meeting. Applications are usually open between April and May each year. If you have questions about the travel grants, please email
