IGCS Organizational Award Categories

IGCS Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognizes IGCS Members who have demonstrated outstanding service, excellence, and achievement spanning a career in service of advancing the field of gynecologic oncology.
Eligibility: IGCS Members Only

IGCS Excellence in Teaching Award
This award recognizes IGCS Members deeply committed to the profession whose work and accomplishments set a standard of excellence. This award recognizes the importance of teaching as an integral part of women’s cancer care and the lasting impact of educators to shape and inspire future generations of clinicians and researchers.
Eligibility: IGCS Members Only

IGCS Award for Outstanding Achievement in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery
Recognizes gynecologic oncologists who have had a sustained career in academic surgery and have made seminal contributions in clinical surgery or surgical education that established new benchmarks or paradigms.
Eligibility: IGCS Members Only

IGCS Global Humanitarian Award
Recognizes outstanding individuals, organizations or programs who work to improve access to quality gynecologic oncology services in low-resource settings.
Eligibility: IGCS Members and Non-members

Please note that you must be an active member of the IGCS to submit a recommendation (if you are receiving this email, you are an active member). The first three awards listed above may only be awarded to IGCS members, while the Global Humanitarian Award may be awarded to both members and non-members. Please check the IGCS Member Directory to determine the membership status of those you may wish to nominate. Self-nominations are accepted.

Previous IGCS award recipients are not eligible to be considered for any other IGCS award for a period of 5 years. Individuals or organizations who received an IGCS award at any time in the past may not be considered for the same award at any time. Current IGCS Board Members are not eligible.

Award submissions will be reviewed by the members of the IGCS Nominations and Awards Committee who are responsible for developing a slate of finalists for the IGCS Board of Directors to review and vote upon for final selection.

Recognition of IGCS’ organizational award recipients will occur during the IGCS Annual Global Meeting in Dublin, Ireland between October 16-18. All award recipients will be announced through IGCS’ communications channels prior to the meeting.

Award recipients will be granted complimentary registration to attend the IGCS Annual Global Meeting. Travel and housing costs are not included.
