We are pleased to announce that the Korean Society of Gynecologic Oncology (KSGO) has joined the IGCS Strategic Alliance Partnership Program.

The current KSGO President, Dr. Jae-Weon Kim—who also served as IGCS Vice President from 2020-2022—was instrumental in negotiating this partnership to bring IGCS member benefits to all KSGO members. Dr. Kim expressed that the timing of this partnership is ideal with IGCS and KSGO collaborating to bring the 2023 IGCS Annual Global Meeting to Seoul this year, November 5-7.

It is so important for all global regions to be represented within the IGCS and we are glad for the opportunity to increase participation from Eastern Asia. We know that KSGO members have knowledge and research to contribute to the global delegation and the readiness to learn from our colleagues around the world.

In addition to the opportunities for learning and networking at the IGCS Annual Global Meeting, online access to the IGCS Education360 Learning Portal is a very enticing member benefit for IGCS and KSGO members. The ability for young professionals to participate in the IGCS Early Career Research and Publications Network and access the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer are also inviting reasons for societies like the KSGO to become a Strategic Alliance Partner of the IGCS.

We look forward to working more with KSGO in the exchange of member benefits and the organization of the upcoming IGCS Meeting in Seoul. If you would like to learn more about the program, please email mary.eiken@igcs.org and to see the latest on the IGCS Annual Global meeting, please visit igcsmeeting.com. Abstracts and surgical films are currently being accepted through May 8, 2023.

Sincerely,

Keiichi Fujiwara, MD, PhD
