Please welcome the Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan as a new Strategic Alliance Partner.

Under the leadership of Professor Tilliashahov Mirzagaleb Nigmatovich, Chairman of the AOUZ board, a new strategic alliance partnership with IGCS has been formed. The Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan was founded on August 7th, 2003. AOUZ is a non-governmental, non-commercial organization, involving a voluntary scientific and educational union of specialists in the sphere of theoretical and practical oncology.

The Republic of Uzbekistan is located in central Asia, comprising of 12 provinces, one autonomous republic and a capital city. Uzbekistan is bordered by five landlocked countries: Kazakhstan to the north; Kyrgyzstan to the northeast; Tajikistan to the southeast; Afghanistan to the south; and Turkmenistan to the southwest.

Professor Tilliashahov Mirzagaleb Nigmatovich said, “we are very excited about our partnership and the commitment of IGCS to advance the care we provide in Uzbekistan.” President of IGCS, Dr.  Michael Quinn, couldn’t agree more stating, “we are so glad to see another region join the IGCS Strategic Alliance Partnership. We know that Uzbekistan will benefit from the many IGCS offerings, including online education, networking and organization exposure. In turn IGCS looks forward to our partnership and in particular to learn how together we can improve outcomes for women in the region.”

The goal of the Strategic Alliance Partner Program is to encourage organizations and regions from all over the globe whose objectives are consistent and aligned with our own become partners, allowing their local members to become IGCS members as a unified group.
