About

Profound differences in resources, priorities, disease profiles, and access to standardized and specialized training across institutes, countries, world regions and continents continue to exist to date. As a result, IGCS members often inquire about options to enhance their training and improve skills.

The Expanded Training program offers several valuable options for healthcare professionals who have both identified the need for additional training to further their careers and skills and who wish to improve the care provided to women with gynecologic malignancies. These programs are shorter than a full fellowship and are designed to be more accessible, flexible and affordable. Our programs aim to increase global interaction and knowledge transfer by creating and supporting opportunities for further professional development.

Goals

Equip professionals with advanced, specialized knowledge and skills

Improve global standards of gynecologic cancer care and patient outcomes

Reduce disparities in access to high-quality surgical training

Strengthen research, innovation, and international collaboration

Member engagement to find mentors, volunteer leaders, and participants who are willing to host these programs and learning environments
