I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS), in collaboration with the Uganda Cancer Institute, for walking with me throughout this incredible journey of becoming a gynecologic oncologist.

To all my mentors—both local and international—thank you for your patience, encouragement, and the wealth of knowledge you so generously shared. Your expertise, guidance and support have been instrumental in shaping not only my knowledge and skills but also my confidence in this evolving field.

I am equally grateful to my colleagues with whom we trained, the administrators of the program, clinical and support staff, whose unwavering collaboration and encouragement have been vital throughout this journey. Your support created an environment where learning was possible, challenges were surmountable, and success was achievable.

This achievement is not mine alone, it is a reflection of the collective effort, mentorship, and support I have received along the way. This will go a long way in improving the lives of women with gynecologic cancers under my care.
