Research Committee

Purpose
The IGCS Research Committee advances global gynecologic cancer research by providing strategic direction for collaborative studies, data collection, and member-driven initiatives across high, middle, and low resource settings worldwide.

About the Committee 
Operating under the IGCS Board of Directors, the Research Committee unites oncology thought leaders, regional champions, and strategic partners through focused Work Groups, connecting members across the globe to build the infrastructure, partnerships, and shared data systems needed to generate meaningful evidence in gynecologic oncology.

Survey Requests (Insight Gathering Workgroup)
The Insight Gathering Workgroup oversees the review, scoring, and approval process for survey requests submitted to the Research Committee. Its purpose is to make sure external and member-driven survey requests meet a quality and relevance threshold before being circulated to the IGCS global network, protecting members' time while still supporting valuable research.

Each request is evaluated using a standard scoring rubric across several domains; only proposals that meet the Committee's approval threshold move forward to distribution across the network.
