The International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) is proud to partner with the International Cancer Control Partnership (ICCP) in the launch of a new global map of national cervical cancer elimination strategies and an expanded resource hub designed to support countries working toward the WHO 90:70:90 targets by 2030, as a meaningful step on the path to elimination of cervical cancer globally.
The official launch took place during the 2026 Cancer Planners Forum on May 14— an invitation-only gathering of global cancer control leaders, policymakers, and national cancer planners convened by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), focused on strengthening national cancer control planning worldwide.
Hosted by UICC on behalf of 29 organizational partners, the ICCP portal has served as a trusted global platform for cancer control planning resources since 2012. Through this new collaboration with IGCS, the portal now includes expanded cervical cancer-specific resources and a global map highlighting whether a country has or does not have a publicly available national cervical cancer elimination strategy.
Together, these tools are intended to help countries:
- Learn from national strategies already being implemented
- Access practical tools and resources across the continuum of prevention and care
- Strengthen their own planning and implementation efforts aligned with the WHO elimination strategy
- Accelerate collaboration between policymakers, clinicians, advocates, and partners
