The IGCS is proud to partner with The ICCP in the launch of a new global map of national cervical cancer elimination strategies and an expanded resource hub designed to support countries working toward the WHO 90:70:90 targets by 2030, as a meaningful step on the path to elimination of cervical cancer globally.

Dicey Celebrates 25th Survivorship Year

In honor of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, we’d like to take this opportunity to highlight some of our advocacy programs and celebrate Dicey Scroggins, the IGCS Director of Global Outreach & Engagement who celebrated her 25th ovarian cancer survivorship anniversary on September 19th.

Brazilian Society of Surgical Oncology Partners with IGCS

We are pleased to announce that the Gynecologic Oncology Branch of the Brazilian Society of Surgical Oncology has joined the IGCS Strategic Alliance Partner Program. BSSO is a nonprofit organization that supports its members in a wide range of activities including education, research, and leadership in multidisciplinary cancer care.

Nominations for Distinguished Advocacy Award

The Annual IGCS Distinguished Advocacy Award recognizes advocates and/or advocacy organizations that provide active, dedicated service to patients-survivors, families, caregivers, and communities—at a local, regional, or international level. The nomination deadline has passed.

Gynecologic Oncology of Canada Partners with IGCS

We are pleased to announce that The Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada (GOC) has joined the IGCS Strategic Alliance Partnership. IGCS and GOC are aligned in many ways including the GOC’s purpose, to improve the care of women with or at risk of gynecologic cancer by raising standards of practice, encouraging ongoing research, promoting innovation in prevention, care and discovery, and advancing awareness.

Education Highlight: Palliative Lecture

Login to the IGCS Education Portal to access a recently recorded didactic focusing on palliative medicine and end of life care by Dr. Michael Pearl. The lecture provides an overview of palliative medicine, including end-of-life care, ethics, and communication with a Q&A segment after.

Education Highlight: Ask a Pathologist

Members, log in to the Education Portal for the latest pathology resources and send your pathology questions to pathology@igcs.org. “Ask a Pathologist” is available to IGCS Members thanks to our Strategic Alliance Partnership with the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists.
