The IGCS is proud to partner with The ICCP in the launch of a new global map of national cervical cancer elimination strategies and an expanded resource hub designed to support countries working toward the WHO 90:70:90 targets by 2030, as a meaningful step on the path to elimination of cervical cancer globally.

2026 Board of Directors Candidates

Latin America is a huge area with an enormous number of women with gynecologic cancers. Regional leaders spent a great deal of time and effort engaging with their colleagues about the Strategic Alliance Program and ultimately included nearly 400 new members who will be joining IGCS. I personally want to thank every one of them for their vision and their commitment to the women they treat.

As IGCS continues with the desire to be the global voice of Gynecologic Oncology we are pleased to announce that the Israeli Society of Gynecologic Oncology (ISGO) has joined our Strategic Alliance Partnership Program. ISGO is a multidisciplinary society including gynecological oncologists, medical oncologists and radiotherapists dedicated to the treatment of women with gynecological cancer, which includes 20 affiliated centres.

Welcome, Indonesia!

Please join me in welcoming the Indonesian Society of Gynecologic Oncology (INASGO) as a new Strategic Alliance Partner. INASGO was founded in 2000 with a current membership of 110 gynecologic oncology practitioners. We are thrilled to welcome them to the IGCS community and are excited to engage with the INASGO leadership Prof Andrijono and Prof Purwoto to hear from them their vision for the future of gynecologic oncology, pathology, and radiation oncology in Indonesia. We look forward to participating in their strategic planning process and to identify ways we can work together towards improving the health and care of Indonesian women.

Welcome, Uzbekistan!

Please welcome the Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan as a new Strategic Alliance Partner. Under the leadership of Professor Tilliashahov Mirzagaleb Nigmatovich, Chairman of the AOUZ board, a new strategic alliance partnership with IGCS has been formed. The Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan was founded on August 7th, 2003. AOUZ is a non-governmental, non-commercial organization, involving a voluntary scientific and educational union of specialists in the sphere of theoretical and practical oncology.

As we come to the end of 2017, please join me in welcoming the Thai Gynecologic Cancer Society (TGCS) as a new Strategic Alliance Partner of the IGCS. The Thai Gynecological Cancer Society was founded with the mission, “To Better the Health of Thai Women with Reproductive Cancer.” Their focus on patient care, education and disseminating information to their members and to the public is perfectly aligned with the IGCS mission.

Welcome, PARSGO!

The Pan-Arabian Research Society of Gynecological Oncology (PARSGO) is the newest IGCS Strategic Alliance Partner. PARSGO includes sixty-one members with a professional interest in the prevention, treatment, and research of gynecological cancers from centers across the Arab world. This is the first Strategic Alliance Partnership that includes a multi-country membership in areas where IGCS has typically had a low penetration. PARSGO members are from centers within the following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Oman, UAE, Palestine, Qatar, Yemen, Saudi, Egypt, Iraq, Djibouti, Somalia, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya and Comoro Islands. Members also include gynecologic oncology professionals of Arabic heritage who practice in other parts of the world but are committed to the PARSGO mission.

It has been such a pleasure over the last year to continue to meet and engage with IGCS members all over the globe. I recently had the honor of traveling to Central Asia to learn more about this beautiful region, the incidence of gynecologic oncology and the opportunity to get to know the wonderful people who live there and their strong affinity to IGCS. Under the leadership of Dilyara Kaidarova MD, PhD, Director of the Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Almaty, Kazakhstan a meeting was held with representatives from Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Center for Global Health, National Cancer Institute.
